Nickolas is the owner of Hetherington Therapy (MOT,OTR/L, CAS, CIMI-II). Born into a blue collar family where his dad was a metal worker and his mom had a desire to help others, Nick's vision of a business grew from that upbringing. His dad instilled the need to take pride in your work(therapy), your work ethic, your reputation and to always make sure to take care of your workers(therapist's). Nick expanded on those core ideas to include going the extra step for families in need. Ultimately providing that Family Feel or inclusion for parents and kiddos that are joining us in a journey they may be new to or have been on for awhile. His goal is to make those families feel as included, involved and comfortable as possible. All while providing it in a real-life setting and within daily routines a family might have. Nick & his team are firm believers in this approach and the children's success has proven that.
He received his Master degree in Occupational therapy from the University of St. Augustine. His Bachelor degree is from Central Michigan University with a focus in Psychology and Family Studies. He holds two Associate degree’s from Delta College in Science. Nickolas is also the only Brevard county Occupational therapist to be a Certified Autism Specialist. Nickolas is also a Certified Infant Massage Instructor and he is currently working on his specialization certification in pediatrics.
